When looking at the pure pop paintings of Milo Burnum’s, you are looking not only at the product of his influences, but also the product of a time. It is the evidence of the selection of which of the cheaply made and mass produced images to use and then further zeroing in on portion of that image to depict that the meaning begins to come into focus.

My work is graphic and diagrammatic. It is unambiguous in that there is no question about what the image is representing. No language is needed to describe what the viewer sees, only what the object is and what is was for remains mysterious.
